!!!! INTERGROUP NEEDS YOUR HELP NOW !!!!

HEADS UP, EVERYBODY. Seattle Intergroup is in deep doo-doo financially and needs your help now. The thing is, fellow members, we´re living in a 2012 world at 1935 prices. Yes, a cup of coffee used to cost a dime, but today it´s $1.80. When you put the traditional buck (or nothing) in the basket when it comes around, you´re undermining the financial stability of our organization. We need to change the tradition to two dollars minimum, and three dollars would be more realistic.

Costs are going up all the time and income is not keeping pace. We can and must change this situation. As a first step, when the basket is passed in meetings, make sure the secretary describes the importance. Don´t just let it go silently around. And every group needs to contribute their fair share to Intergroup´s support. Less than 15 per cent of the groups now are doing their share. We´re all in this together, so let´s all work together to insure the strength and survival of this invaluable institution.
